AG Jepsen: States Reach $68M Settlement with UBS for LIBOR Manipulation
Under a $68 million multistate settlement agreement, UBS AG will pay $64.6 million in restitution to government and nonprofit entities for its manipulation of benchmark interest rates in the lead up to and early days of the financial crisis, Attorney General George Jepsen announced today.

State Initiates False Claims Act, Breach of Contract Lawsuit against Norwich Behavioral Health Provider
The state has initiated a lawsuit alleging violations of the Connecticut False Claims Act and breach of contract by a licensed professional counselor from Norwich who is accused of billing the state's Medicaid program for services not provided, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Social Services Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby said today.

Conn. Joins FTC and More than 50 States and Territories to Combat Fraudsters Falsely Claiming to Help Veterans and Service Members
Connecticut has joined with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and law enforcement officials and charity regulators from more than 50 states and territories in Operation Donate with Honor – an education and enforcement campaign including more than 100 actions against charities, fundraisers and individuals, a sweeping new donor education program and a crackdown on fraudsters that con consumers by falsely promising their donations will help veterans and service members.

AG Jepsen Joins Opposition to Title X Rule that Restricts Access to Women's Reproductive Healthcare
Attorney General George Jepsen today joined a coalition of 13 attorneys general in filing comments with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services opposing the Trump Administration's proposal to limit access to women's healthcare by imposing unconstitutional restrictions to the Title X program.

Connecticut Joins $148M Settlement with Uber over Delayed Data Breach Reporting
Connecticut, with 49 other states and the District of Columbia, has reached an agreement with the San Francisco-based ride-sharing company Uber Technologies, Inc., to resolve the states' investigation into the company's one-year delay in reporting a data breach to the states and to its affected drivers, Attorney General George Jepsen announced today.

State Reaches Settlement in False Claims Act Lawsuit against Waterbury Behavioral Health Provider
The state has reached a $200,000 settlement with a Waterbury behavioral health clinician, along with two behavioral health practices he owns or controls, that resolves a lawsuit alleging the providers engaged in a long-term scheme to defraud Connecticut's Medicaid program.

Connecticut Joins Lawsuit to Protect State, Municipalities from Unlawful Restrictions on Federal Public Safety Grants

Conn. and NY Sue Federal EPA over Failure to Control Ozone Pollution from Upwind States
The states of Connecticut and New York have filed a federal lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its administrator, Scott Pruitt, over the agency's failure to adequately control ozone pollution from other states that negatively impacts air quality in the two downwind states, Attorney General George Jepsen said today.

Attorney General Reaches False Claims Act Settlement with Mass. Laboratory over Medically Unnecessary Drug Tests
A Massachusetts-based clinical laboratory will forfeit $656,912 and be excluded from participation in Connecticut's Medicaid program for 10 years as part of a settlement agreement with the state, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Social Services Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby said today.

State Files False Claims Act Lawsuit against East Hartford Behavioral Health Provider
